Anxiety has been talked about more and more but what is it? Anxiety may dominate our lives and may feel uncontrollable despite our best efforts. Anxiety presents itself in a variety of ways. We might feel like anxiety or panic has spread to every aspect of our daily life, making it difficult to imagine a day without it. Anxious thoughts and emotions can influence our perspective and even impact our nervous system.
Some common signs of anxiety:
Feelings of panic, danger, or dread
Nervousness, restlessness, or tension
Insomnia or trouble sleeping
Increased or heavy sweating
Trembling or muscle twitching
Weakness or lethargy
Obsessive thoughts
Rapid breathing or hyperventilation
Difficulty focusing or thinking clearly about anything else other than your worries
If you've experienced one or more of these signs, remember that you're not alone. And even if you feel like you might be experiencing anxiety, but none of what I listed resonates with you, remember, you're not alone. I'm here to explore your experiences with you. Together, we can explore the roots of your fears and worries. We'll explore coping skills to help both your mind and body relax.
