Non-judgmental therapy for self-compassion and healing.
Empowering adults, teens, and relationships with a space for self-expression, self-discovery, and the opportunity to test out 'first drafts' when expressing thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
“to make alive. what is quiet and asleep in your existence. to do that work. to find you. in you. that is art to me.” —Nayyirah Waheed
Many of us long to be understood and accepted despite messaging that asks us to shrink, hide or even alter ourselves to fit in or be included in a group. I am here to help you celebrate and enjoy parts of yourself that have been told don’t belong. Supporting you on a journey to explore these aspects of yourself and feel empowered to make changes is my priority. Collaboratively, I am here help build on your strengths and explore tools to meet your goals. Conscious of the many stressors that we encounter every day, it is my privilege to create space for exploring the many dimensions of your identities, feelings, and experiences. And, if you’re still trying to figure out why you are exploring therapy, don’t worry. Therapy can offer an affirming environment for exploration and self discovery. Together, my hope is that we can create a space where you feel free to be your authentic self, heal, and nurture growth.
My approach
I will encourage your curiosity, allowing us to identify and develop your unique strengths with a playful spirit, humor, and creativity. All of this is done with a focus on creating a non-judgmental atmosphere where you feel able to explore your thoughts and feelings. I am mindful about including consent around interventions, empowering clients to understand their agency in our sessions. The development of mindfulness, self-compassion, intentionality, and self-reflection are important pieces of my approach. I also take an anti-racist stance to recognize how systems of oppression influence your identity and life.
I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and relationships of all races/ethnicities, abilities, sizes, genders, spiritual beliefs, and relationship styles. Wherever you are along the gender and sexuality spectrum, from teens to older adults, you are welcome and supported here. I am passionate and have extensive experience with people facing racial identity issues, overcoming racial trauma, multicultural and identity issues, exploring and supporting sexuality, relationships, gender expression, eating disorders, body image, disembodiment concerns, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I am sex worker friendly and cnm/polyamory, BDSM/kink-aware. Whether you are seeking therapy tailored to these concerns or not, we can explore how your body and brain are responding to anxiety, stress, depression, grief, and other emotional experiences. Together we will work on finding long-term and short-term goals within frameworks and rituals that are unique to you.
